The customers of the Port of Itajai have at their disposal, at any time, more that 70 (seventy) kinds of equipment, with the capacity of 1 to 37 tons for helping with loading and unloading of goods. All these according to international safety standards. The operational units of the Port of Itajai are totally computerised with the use of cabling, optical fibre and the most modern computers. Itajai has been the first port in Latin America to be connected to the Internet, having its own home page. The Port of Itajai thinking about the wellbeing of the exporters and importers, also has an Inland Custom Station (dry dock), totally cleared and synchronised with the Port, having 31,500 m² for sheltered storage and storage yards for containers with an area of more than 120,000 m².
